We’re experts at building expanding trailers. This IBM trailer is used to display the very latest rack systems all over Europe. The double podded trailer houses working racks, video wall presentation area and demonstration benches. The facilities enable the trailer to be laid out in a variety of modes including formal presentation, demonstration or evening hospitality events. The racks are sat on turntables so that they have transit, display and service positions all with articulating power and data cables.
A silent on board generator produces enough power for all the on board systems as well as a ducted air conditioning system designed to cover southern Europe in the summer and Scandinavia in the winter.
All of the lighting, air conditioning and audio visual is controlled by a wireless touchscreen Crestron unit for professional presentations.
Outside a clever folding ramp with LED illumination provides good wheelchair access and the whole trailer can be set up and fully operational within 45 minutes of arrival with a single trained operator.
A small private area at the front of the trailer houses a small galley area, storage and overnight accommodation for one operator.
This is the second of Cosby’s expanding trailers commissioned by IBM in the last twelve years and each one has spent up to 11 months a year out on the road covering venues as diverse as Iceland and Israel.
