BAE SYSTEMS

A special purpose trailer designed and manufactured for BAE Systems. This trailer is used as a mobile ground station for aircraft flight testing all over the world.

The unit is fully self contained with on board power, air conditioning and is manufactured to a very high technical standard to operate in both very hot and cold climates. The single pod is self-supporting using precision engineered sliding beams.

The unit is RFI screened and has an 18m pneumatic mast which, when retracted, can lay horizontally to enable antennas to be installed at ground level.

FIRST MOVEMENT

Derbyshire based charity First Movement commissioned a unique vehicle as part of their LEVEL (Live EVEnt Link) Project.

The double podded unit was built to a larger scale than normal for its unique purpose.

LEVEL is a way of making creative collaborations between people living many miles apart and who otherwise, would never meet. Using live video and audio links, it enables people in different places not only to see and hear each other but also, through large scale projection, to enter the same virtual space and work together.

Consultants Art-Tech-Circle provided the design and installation of specialist lighting, chromakey and projection equipment.

Custom Build

SAIC

A series of special purpose vehicles manufactured in conjunction with King Vehicle Engineering and SAIC in America.

These vehicles are gamma ray scanners and used by various customs authorities throughout Europe.

The units are fully self contained with on board power generation, air conditioning and image recording and have the ability to scan selected ISO shipping containers, commercial vehicles and trailers either entering or leaving a country.

These vehicles were a European adaptation of an already successful SAIC design operating in the United States.
